Our Centre - servicing Brisbane bayside suburbs
Silky Oaks Child Care Centre is a community based, non-profit centre which has been operating in the Brisbane bayside suburb of Manly for more than 20 years. We are licensed to provide long day care to 52 children per day in our large indoor and outdoor environments. Our well appointed facilities provide a stimulating learning and care environment supporting the developmental needs of our four groups.
The Silky Oaks Child Care Centre, Manly:
- is easily accessed by bus and train, and we have ample, off-street parking
- has, larger than regulated requirements, well shaded outdoor areas in a natural setting
- provides our 0 - 2 years Nursery group with an independently equipped, fully fenced, well shaded and grassed, outdoor area that includes a sandpit and mini fort
- provides a mixed-age base program for our 2 - 3 years and 3 - 4 years groups that is lead by four qualified staff
- provides an Emergent Curriculum program that encourages the extension of children's interests and learning by using their ideas to inform and direct the programming
- boasts highly-qualified, experienced carers with many long-term staff
- consistently achieves High Quality ratings in the National Child Care Accreditation Quality Assurance process
